# Money, status and the estates

Excess, the estates, the seat, and why none of it changes a number.

The game admires the money. It never lectures. It also never sells you an edge.

## Excess

The signature sink, and the game is on its side: cars, watches, suits, the yacht, the plane, floor parties, comping the bullpen. Public, logged, worth notoriety, and touching no number anywhere. The leaderboard tracks realised P\&L **and** burn.

## THE ESTATES

The trophy, and a real place. Finite addressed units on numbered floors: you walk into the lobby, past the doorman, into an elevator with a floor indicator and other players in it, down a hallway of neighbours' doors, to your own.

Priced by quarter, by height, and by what the window looks at. Bought through a real-estate office after you view the unit, outright or on a mortgage the bank can foreclose.

A partner's month is roughly $33,000 by construction, and the homes are priced against that rather than against a feel. The first rung is a few days of a mid-game broker's work; the top one is years.

When a building sells out, it is sold out. There is no second copy of your address.

## The seat

$STREET buys a capped exchange **seat**: 1,000 of them, numbered, resold player-to-player, forever capped.

A seat gates **access** and never a number — the pit's staked tables, raiding a corner at size, underwriting a listing, standing for the board. A test asserts the gate list contains no stat, no fill, no price and no probability.

## What money is actually for

Somewhere better to live, something better to wear, a seat at the staked tables, and the ability to put money behind another player and take a published cut of their production.

It gets you looked at differently. On this floor that is not nothing — but it will not fill an order for you.
